Our Glass Wool Roll is a flexible thermal and acoustic insulation material. It is produced from recycled glass and natural mineral raw materials. After high-temperature melting and high-speed centrifugal blowing to form ultra-fine glass fibers, eco-friendly thermosetting resin binder is added and hot-pressed for integrated curing.
The internal fibers are randomly and uniformly interlaced in three dimensions, forming numerous sealed tiny static air cavities. As air features an extremely low thermal conductivity, the product can greatly block heat conduction and restrain internal air convection, effectively cutting building heat and cold loss to achieve long-term energy conservation.
We offer customized versions with aluminum foil facing. Such products can simultaneously block radiant heat while providing moisture-proof, water-vapor-resistant and reflective heat insulation performance. They are widely applied in thermal insulation and noise reduction projects for steel structure workshops, roof & wall panels, ventilation ducts and other scenarios.
Six Core Advantages – More Than Specifications, Delivering Real Value
① Euroclass A1 Non-Combustible Fire Performance – Uncompromised Safety
Glass wool is a purely inorganic material with Euroclass A1 fire rating (the highest standard). It will not burn, release toxic fumes or produce molten droplets during a fire. Its fiber melting point exceeds 700°C, buying precious time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue operations. It is especially suitable for industrial workshops, logistics warehouses and public buildings with stringent fire safety requirements.
The ultra-fine fibers are only 4–6 μm in diameter, evenly arranged to form dense air barriers that effectively suppress heat convection. Take the 75 mm-thick roll with a density of 24 kg/m³ as an example: its thermal conductivity reaches merely 0.036 W/mK, delivering superior thermal insulation compared with most conventional insulation materials of the same thickness and drastically cutting heating & cooling loads of buildings.
The porous fibrous structure of glass wool boasts outstanding sound absorption performance, with a sound absorption coefficient of 0.8–1.0 at medium and high frequencies ranging from 1000 Hz to 4000 Hz. In noise-intensive areas such as industrial workshops, equipment rooms and air conditioning ducts, it effectively shortens reverberation time and lowers ambient noise, improving communication clarity and working comfort for staff.
Water repellency rate exceeds 98%, and water absorption capacity is ≤ 0.5 kg/m² (24 hours). Its thermal insulation performance remains intact even in high-humidity environments. Chemically neutral, it causes no corrosion to steel structures and matches the service life of buildings.
The roll mat features excellent flexibility, allowing free laying along roof purlins and wall keels as well as quick on-site cutting. Available in lengths of 10 m / 20 m and a standard width of 1200 mm, it greatly minimizes seams, speeds up construction and cuts labor costs.
Raw materials incorporate recycled glass, and no ozone-depleting blowing agents are used during production. The product complies with LEED green building certification standards, helping projects earn green building credits.
