H-beam fabrication for a steel structure warehouse — the stage where supplier capability is easiest to verify.
China fabricates more structural steel than any other country, and steel warehouse exports have become a mature, well-instrumented supply chain. That scale creates a specific problem for overseas buyers: thousands of workshops can quote a warehouse, but only a few hundred hold the qualifications, certification and export documentation to deliver one reliably.
This guide profiles ten manufacturers that overseas buyers encounter in the warehouse category — from the largest listed groups to mid-sized export specialists — and states what each is genuinely strong at, so you can match a supplier to your project instead of defaulting to the biggest name. The profiles are a starting point for shortlisting, not a ranking: different projects need different suppliers, and the verification checklist in section 5 matters more than which company appears where in this list.
Disclosure: this guide is compiled and published by Qingdao Pristine Steel Structures and Engineering Co., Ltd., which is profiled first. The sequence reflects the publisher's own ordering and should not be read as an independent ranking or endorsement. Descriptions rely on publicly available company material and were not independently audited — verify every claim, including ours, before contracting.
Key takeaways
Size is not the same as fit. Multi-million-tonne groups are built for stadiums, airports and heavy industrial work; warehouse programmes often move faster with a mid-sized export specialist.
Qualification grade matters more than catalogue photos. In China, Grade I steel structure manufacturing or contracting qualifications are the baseline for serious export suppliers.
Certifications must be verifiable: CE (EN 1090), ISO 9001/14001/45001, AISC or CWB where the destination requires them — ask for the certificate number and issuing body.
Export experience is a proxy for documentation quality. Suppliers shipping to dozens of countries have usually solved packing, labelling, erection drawings and after-sales across time zones.
Trial order first. One container is the cheapest due-diligence instrument available.
Contents
Five screening criteria were applied. They are stated openly so you can apply them yourself to companies that are not on this list:
Qualification level — Grade I steel structure manufacturing or contracting qualification, or equivalent group-level capability.
Warehouse relevance — a documented record in warehouses, logistics centres and industrial buildings, not only landmark structures.
Export infrastructure — export licences, English documentation, packing engineering, installation guidance, and experience across multiple continents.
Certification — CE (EN 1090), ISO 9001/14001/45001, and AISC or CWB where applicable.
Engineering depth — in-house detailing, connection design, and willingness to issue calculation packages for local permitting.
Capacity figures quoted in the profiles are company-reported unless stated otherwise. They indicate scale, not audited production data. Where public sources conflict — which is common for privately held exporters — the description avoids precise numbers.

Qingdao, Shandong · 66,300 m² production base · Grade I steel structure manufacturing qualification
Pristine operates a 66,300 m² production site with 36,000 m² of covered workshop, running heavy steel automatic lines, H-beam light steel lines, angle steel lines and CNC composite panel lines. Reported capacity is more than 15,000 tonnes of steel components per year, with annual construction capacity above 900,000 m² and enclosure panel output above 2.5 million m².
Its qualification set is unusually broad for a company of this size: Grade I steel structure manufacturing, Grade II general construction contracting, Grade II building curtain wall and decoration, and Grade III urban road lighting — held alongside ISO 9001 quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management certification. In practice this means one supplier can cover structure, envelope, cladding and installation rather than handing the buyer three interface risks.
The company's reference base spans petrochemical and coal chemical facilities, offshore engineering equipment, power and communications buildings, and commercial construction — sectors where coating specification, fire protection and documentation discipline are audited rather than assumed. Steel buildings have been exported to Europe, the US, Australia, Africa, South America and Southeast Asia.
Product scope covers steel structure warehouses, workshops, and customized steel buildings; standardised footprints are available through standardized building configurations.
Typical fit: warehouses and industrial buildings where the buyer wants one supplier accountable for structure, envelope and installation — and where heavy steel or coated-structure experience is relevant.
Pingdu, Qingdao, Shandong · Founded 1997 · NEEQ-listed (834422) · 130+ export countries
Xinguangzheng is a well-established export-focused manufacturer: founded in 1997, based on a site of more than 200 mu in Pingdu, with dedicated H-beam lines, light steel lines and purlin and panel roll-forming lines configured around exporting complete buildings rather than loose tonnage.
Three things stand out for overseas warehouse buyers. Documentation is treated as part of the product — packing lists, erection drawings, foundation reactions, container-loading plans and sequenced labelling are standard deliverables, which is exactly where smaller exporters fail. Certification breadth covers ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, CE marking, and production aligned to American, European and Russian standards. And installation support is offered through an overseas guidance team rather than ending at the port.
Product scope includes warehouses, workshops, aircraft hangars, poultry houses and modular buildings.
Typical fit: overseas warehouses and industrial buildings in the 1,000–20,000 m² range needing engineering support, clear export documentation and installation guidance.
Shaoxing, Zhejiang · Listed (600496) · Large-span and complex structures
Jinggong is one of China's most technically capable steel structure groups, with recognised expertise in large-span roofs, retractable stadium roofs, curved and twisted members, and cast-steel nodes. Its portfolio leans toward stadiums, exhibition centres, airports and high-profile commercial work, with an established overseas presence including Middle East projects.
For warehouse buyers, its relevance sits at the top end: very large distribution centres, high-specification logistics parks, and projects where architectural complexity or span exceeds a standard portal frame. Its BIM and parametric design capability is a genuine differentiator on complex geometry.
Typical fit: flagship logistics facilities and complex large-span buildings where structural ambition justifies premium engineering.
Hangzhou, Zhejiang · Listed · Steel residential systems and industrial buildings
Hangxiao is best known for industrialising steel residential construction in China — its steel frame housing system has been widely licensed — alongside multi-storey steel structures, large-span space structures and industrial plants. Company material reports annual fabrication capacity above one million tonnes across multiple production bases.
The relevance for warehouse projects is its systems approach: standardised connection details, repeatable assembly logic and a large base of licensed partners, which translates into predictable quality on repetitive building types.
Typical fit: buyers who value system standardisation, and projects combining warehouse space with office or residential components.
Hefei, Anhui · Listed · Largest fabrication volume in the sector (company-reported)
Honglu is the volume leader of the Chinese steel structure industry, with company-reported capacity in the region of three million tonnes per year across dozens of production bases. Its competitive logic is scale: large batch production, cost control through volume procurement, and the ability to hold delivery schedules on very large programmes.
For a warehouse buyer this matters when the order is big, repetitive and schedule-critical — a multi-building distribution park, for example. The trade-off is that engineering attention per project is necessarily thinner than at a specialist exporter, and English documentation and installation support may require more active management.
Typical fit: high-volume, schedule-driven programmes where unit cost and delivery certainty dominate.
Pingdu, Qingdao, Shandong · Export-oriented · CE (EN 1090), ISO 9001/14001/45001
KXD is a Qingdao-based exporter covering steel structure buildings, prefabricated houses and container houses, sold into 80-plus countries according to company material. It holds CE (EN 1090) certification alongside ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and weld procedure qualification records, and details projects in Tekla, PKPM and 3D3S.
Its offer is strongest on standard and semi-custom warehouses where the buyer has a clear drawing package and wants competitive pricing with recognised certification. Group backing provides additional supply-chain stability.
Typical fit: cost-competitive export warehouses with a defined design, and buyers who already hold a structural drawing package.
Boxing, Shandong · Founded 1978 · Four manufacturing bases · CE and FM certified
Wiskind is less a steel fabricator in the conventional sense and more an envelope and building-systems company: steel structures plus sandwich panels, cold-store panels, cleanroom systems and architectural cladding, with four plants across Shandong, Jiangsu, Sichuan and Guangdong. Roofing systems carry FM approval, and the group holds CE marking and China's Grade I steel structure contracting qualification.
For warehouses with thermal requirements — cold chain, food, pharmaceutical, cleanroom-adjacent — this integration is a real advantage: frame, insulation, vapour control and detailing come from one supplier, removing the interface risk behind most condensation failures.
Typical fit: cold-chain, food-grade and temperature-controlled warehouses where the envelope, not the frame, is the hard part.
Qingdao, Shandong · Export-focused steel buildings
Havit operates in the same Qingdao export cluster and positions on steel structure buildings, warehouses, workshops and project supply for overseas contractors. Its model is typical of the mid-sized Qingdao exporters: engineering and detailing in-house, fabrication across partner lines where needed, and a sales process built around responding quickly to international enquiries.
The practical advantage is responsiveness and flexibility on order size; the practical caveat is that fabrication may span more than one facility, so quality consistency should be verified with a factory audit and pre-shipment inspection rather than assumed.
Typical fit: buyers who need a responsive partner on moderate volumes and are prepared to inspect before shipment.
Subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation · Multiple fabrication bases
CSCEC Steel is the industrial-scale structural steel arm of China's largest construction group, with fabrication bases across several regions and a portfolio dominated by super-high-rise towers, airport terminals, stadiums and major infrastructure. Company material reports annual fabrication capacity in the region of 1.5 million tonnes.
Its strengths — EPC integration, project finance depth, extreme-load engineering and execution on highly visible projects — are valuable but rarely decisive for a 5,000 m² private warehouse. Procurement cycles are longer, minimum project thresholds higher, and flexibility lower than at an export specialist.
Typical fit: very large or government-linked logistics infrastructure where EPC integration and institutional standing matter.
Henan · Prefabricated houses and light steel structures
K-Home is representative of the Henan cluster of prefabricated building manufacturers: steel structure workshops and warehouses alongside container houses, modular accommodation and light steel buildings, with an export-facing sales operation.
Its natural fit is smaller and lighter construction — site offices, worker accommodation, agricultural buildings and light industrial sheds — often bundled with a warehouse order. For heavy industrial warehouses with cranes or wide clear spans, a specialist heavy steel fabricator is the better match.
Typical fit: light steel buildings, modular accommodation and bundled site facilities rather than heavy clear-span warehouses.

A single trial container is the most efficient due-diligence step available to an overseas buyer. It tests fabrication tolerance, coating thickness, labelling discipline, packing quality and communication speed — all before a full programme is committed.
The profiles above are not a ranking of quality; they map capability to fit. Three practical pairings:
Standard export warehouse, 1,000–20,000 m², overseas buyer without local engineering: an export specialist with strong documentation and installation guidance — the Pristine, XGZ, KXD or Wiskind profile.
Complex or very large facility, high specification, visible project: an engineering-led group — Jinggong, Hangxiao or CSCEC Steel — accepting longer procurement cycles and higher thresholds.
Repetitive multi-building programme on a fixed schedule: a volume manufacturer such as Honglu, with the buyer supplying dedicated project management.
Cost structures differ accordingly. Frame-only pricing for basic warehouses commonly starts in the US$30–50/m² range, while delivered and erected turnkey buildings land far higher once cladding, insulation, doors, freight and installation are included — our 2026 steel structure warehouse cost guide breaks those layers down, and the steel frame structure guide explains the structural decisions that move the number most.
Two technical details are worth checking early, because they are where cheap quotes hide risk: connection design at the column base, and whether the cladding and insulation package is genuinely integrated or sourced ad hoc. Buyers weighing steel against in-situ construction can review the steel versus concrete comparison for lifecycle cost and sustainability.
There are thousands of fabrication workshops, but a much smaller number with Grade I steel structure qualifications, international certification such as CE (EN 1090) or AISC, and a documented export record. For an overseas project, shortlist suppliers with verified factory audits rather than relying on directory listings.
Request the business licence and export licence, confirm the qualification grade, check certification numbers with the issuing body, ask for mill test certificates with heat numbers for your order, request factory video or third-party inspection, and place a trial order before committing to a full container programme.
Fabrication for a standard warehouse typically runs 30–45 days after drawing approval, plus ocean freight. On-site erection of a prefabricated steel frame usually takes two to eight weeks depending on size, foundation readiness and crew experience.
Not necessarily. Very large groups are strongest on mega-projects and heavy structural steel, while mid-sized exporters often provide more responsive engineering support, clearer English documentation and lower minimum order quantities for standard warehouses. Match the supplier's typical project size to your own.
At minimum ISO 9001 for quality management, plus CE marking under EN 1090 or AISC certification where the destination market requires it. Also ask for weld procedure qualification records, welder certificates and mill test certificates for the steel used in your project.
China's steel warehouse supply chain is deep enough that almost any specification can be built. The variable is who builds it, and how well the interface with your site is managed. The ten companies profiled here span the realistic range of options: volume leaders built for scale, engineering groups built for complexity, and export specialists built for the documentation and support overseas buyers depend on.
Use the profiles to build a shortlist of three, then apply the verification table to all three. Certification numbers, mill test certificates, inspection access and a trial container tell you more about a supplier than any list — including this one.
